Cement Mixer
The cement mixer (concrete mixer as it was first known) is used to create the concrete that is used for many numerous things. Cement mixers where first invented by Gebhardt Jaeger who was involved with Columbus industrial company. Since then many manufacturers have sprung up all over the world and the cement mixer market has become a huge industry with a massive range of products to suit particular needs of clients all over the world. The many thousands of buildings that use concrete and many thousands of structures that are made much up of concrete itself would not exist if cement mixers had not been invented and sold on such a large scale.
How a Cement mixer works?
The very concept of a cement mixer is one that goes back many years and it very simply just a way of mixing together the fundamental elements that go to the creation of concrete. All the purpose of a cement mixer is to create such a substance for use in a variety of places. The machine itself evenly turns around making an effort to thoroughly mix together the elements of concrete to make a sufficient enough product that can be used to apply to any number of things and in a number of ways.
What goes into a cement mixer?
The substances needed to create concrete are very basic ones that are used in the mixing process to create the concrete substance. The first element that goes into a cement mixer to make concrete is, and most obviously, cement. The product itself has a very sand like texture and is very similar to sand in a variety of ways but once water is added and the cement mixer procedure begins the cement beings to absorb the water and becomes a thicker more sticky like product that when its left to set and dry becomes a strong and very durable concrete.
The origins of cement mixers
The first cement mixer came about when Gebhardt Jaeger invented them but the art of using concrete has been around for a far longer than most people realize. Cement as a form was first used by Babylonians and Assyrians but the cement was a clay mixture and it wasn't until the mid 1800's that a British engineer began to use different materials that are more common with the modern day cement we have now. The cement mixers that came about much later in time will have been used in some form from when the first cement was created but was probably a hand or labour intensive way of crating the cement was used back when it first came about. Now we have the most advance of technology that our civilisation has ever seen we have many different types of cement mixers available at our disposal. As technology ever moves forward a new way to create concrete may come about and the cement mixer will move to obsolete as times more ever forward and the increase of technology becomes ever greater.
